Covid 19 Policy
Here at Roganstown Hotel & Golf Club we put the safety and care of our team and our guests as our main priority. The COVID-19 Safety Charter is a Government-endorsed initiative introduced through Failte Ireland to reinforce confidence in domestic and overseas visitors in tourism businesses. We have followed all sector specific guidelines for tourism and hospitality businesses in how best to meet the Government’s public health advice. By following all the guidelines and training requirements, Roganstown Hotel and Country Club is delighted to be able to welcome our guests back to a safe and comfortable environment.
General Measures
We have implemented a flow management system for customers front of house and staff back of house, to ensure social distancing at all times.
Directional signage is in place on the ground floor to ensure social distancing and flow management.
We have added Infra-red sanitising stations at all key entry and exit points including public toilets, guest corridors, lifts and public spaces.
We encourage the use of face masks for all customers and guests around the hotel.
The hotel will operate a pre-booking process for all experiences throughout the hotel to ensure that all guests can be seated upon arrival while minimising queuing and bottlenecks.
All staff have received training on best practices and will continue to receive ongoing training and they also undergo an automated temperature check before starting the workday.
A number of our key staff have had additional training as COVID Co-Ordinators in order to ensure compliance of all health and safety measures.
Restaurants & Bars
O’ Callaghans Bar will be serving a reduced food menu from 12pm – 7.30pm midweek and 12pm -8.30pm on weekends. Guests MUST book a table, direct with a member of our team or through our website.
All touchpoints are cleaned several times a day to ensure your safety.
We have re-engineered our food & beverage areas and are following the two-metre distancing guidelines throughout the front and back of house.
We have introduced a one-way flow management system for customers entering and exiting the bar and restaurant areas.
We are encouraging cashless/contactless payments.
Our staff members will remain a safe social distance from you,and will wear a protective shield or mask.
We will require a mobile phone number from each group for contact tracing purposes.
The largest number of guests permitted at a table is 6.
Last drinks orders in the bar will be 11.00pm daily.
Hotel residents can avail of room service drinks during the opening times listed above.
We will be using individually packaged condiments such as salt & pepper etc..
We are providing table service only.
Young guests must be supervised at all times
Please comply with all directives given by staff at all times.
Arrival
We have added an additional desk at our reception to ensure social distancing is in place for both your protection and that of our teams.
All key touch points such as credit card keypads, pens, desk pads and keys will be thoroughly sanitised after each guest transaction.
Once checked in you will then have the option of using the lifts or staircase to access your bedroom.
Please use the Infra Red Sanitizers at the entrance to our guest corridors and also situated outside our guest lift.
Housekeeping
Staff have undergone retraining on the latest protocols and best-practice standards concerning PPE, physical distancing, cleaning standards and hygiene practices.
Cleaning standards have been fully reviewed and updated to ensure we have robust enhanced cleanliness and hygiene practices.
Staff will wear appropriate personal protective equipment and are fully trained in how to put on and remove PPE safely.
We have conducted a full review of all cleaning agents and chemicals in conjunction with our partner Proctor & Gamble.
Rooms are treated with Ozone to ensure completely safe environment.
Typically, viruses are small, independent particles, built of crystals and macromolecules. Unlike bacteria, they multiply only within the host cell.
Ozone destroys viruses by diffusing through the protein coat into the nucleic acid core, resulting in damage of the viral RNA. At higher concentrations, ozone destroys the capsid or exterior protein shell by oxidation.
Ozone gas has been proven to kill the SARS coronavirus and the structure of the new 2019 coronavirus is almost identical to that of the SARS coronavirus.
After every stay our rooms are deep cleaned with P&G chemicals. We then use a JIMCO air-cleaner to purify the air without the use of chemicals. The JIMCO technology is based on UV-C and ozone, which is a natural way to reduce and eliminate un- wanted viruses and bacteria.
JIMCO research shows that when using their technology air, and surfaces are disinfected up to 99.9% so our guests can be comfortable that they are completely safe.

Leisure Club
Limited Locker and Shower Facilities available in Leisure Club. Residents advised to shower in bedrooms afterwards.
Entry to swimming pool located through the door located to the left of the Leisure reception.
Sauna, Steam and Spa Pool closed due to Covid19 restrictions.
Limited capacity is in operation for our pool. Pre-booking is essential to ensure your preferred time. Please call the hotel to book your pool time slot.
