How Roganstown is Making a Difference

65,000 Trees Planted

Over the past 20 years, we have planted more than 65,000 trees across the estate, helping remove approximately 325 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.

Solar Energy

Our solar panel system generates approximately 25% of our electricity requirements, reducing our dependence on traditional energy sources.

Zero Food Waste to Landfill

Renewable Heating

We compost 100% of food waste generated onsite, returning nutrients back to the land within 40 days.

All hotel space heating is powered through our Biomass Woodchip Boiler, delivering renewable energy throughout the property.

Sustainable Golf Course Management

Our fleet of electric robotic lawnmowers helps maintain our championship golf course while reducing diesel consumption by approximately 2,500 litres each year.

Supporting Local Suppliers

We work with a predominantly local supplier network to reduce transport emissions and support surrounding communities.

Sustainability in the Everyday Details

Being a green hotel isn’t all about the major initiatives, it’s about the consistent small things we do that help the environment.

Across Roganstown, we continually improve our operations through:

  • Consistent recycling programmes
  • Composting all food waste daily
  • Water-saving showerheads
  • Waterless urinals
  • Reusable water bottles in guest bedrooms to reduce single-use plastics

Being a Green Hotel doesn’t mean compromising on luxury. From check-in to check-out, you can enjoy a truly relaxing retreat and an exceptional guest experience, where you can be confident that we’re caring for both our guests and the environment around us.
